All work within the right of way requires traffic control expertise to make the work safe for the motorist and workers. The Traffic Control Supervisor on the project needs to be trained in the latest standards, practices, and procedures to accomplish this goal.

This TCS course trains those students actively involved in designing, setting up, and maintaining temporary traffic control. It builds on the concepts and techniques taught in the TCT course for implementing traffic control plans. Several workshops are included in this course and offer the opportunity for hands-on experience. These workshops give the chance to learn to work together as a team and present solutions to the class. A further objective of this course is to teach the students skills necessary to become effective Supervisors.

The instructors in this course bring years of practical experience in traffic control to the classroom. They present this 2-day course using presentations covering material from the latest edition of the MUTCD. Each student receives materials relevant to the MUTCD and course content.
