This training will guide DOT contract administrators who will be actively involved in administering temporary traffic control on an AKDOT highway construction contract.Focusing on Department policy, procedures, and standards regarding traffic maintenance pay items.
This training serves to provide real-world examples of challenges met while administering traffic and safety pay items on an AKDOT highway construction project.
Objectives / Topics
Learn how to take the concepts and techniques from the supervisory level traffic and safety courses and apply them using the policies, procedures, and manuals that drive our duties as AKDOT contract administrators.
Participants will also review AKDOT standard practices, standard forms, contract specifications, and the roles and responsibilities of contract administrators.
An additional, vital objective of this training is reminding participants of the skills necessary to become effective supervisors; capable of leading a contract administration team in traffic and safety challenges in the field.
