Description

On February 23, 2019, the existing Alaska Roads PA will expire, and consideration of roads as potential historic properties will instead be handled through procedures outlined in newly amended appendices of the Section 106 PA.

This presentation will describe the updated procedures, provide examples, and have opportunities for questions and discussion. Both streamlined reviews and standard consultation projects will be addressed. An optional add-on presentation will go into detail on the Methodology to be used for evaluating roads as historic properties.

The session is aimed at DOT&PF environmental staff and project managers.  It is also open to consultants who have basic familiarity with DOT&PF's Section 106 PA.
